Insurance Info
Therapy Connection accepts most major insurance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) plans. Please contact us to discuss coverage in more detail.
If you have insurance that we do not accept, we can provide a superbill which you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. Please speak directly with the clinician.
While every effort will be made by Therapy Connection to obtain payment from the insurance carrier, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that treatment is covered and to understand any coverage limitations. Therapists will assist in billing and answering questions as needed. However, clients are ultimately responsible for any fees not covered by insurance.
24 hour Cancellation policy
Clients must provide at least 24-hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You will be responsible for the full session fee for late cancellations or missed appointments. Cancellation fees are the client’s responsibility as insurance does not pay cancellation fees.
Crisis Info
If you are in crisis and/or need immediate assistance, please contact the San Diego Access and Crisis line at 877-724-7240, the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 800-273-8255, or go to the nearest emergency room.
Telehelth
Therapy Connection offers telehealth as a treatment option. All telehealth sessions are conducted on secure virtual platforms and meet all HIPPA guidelines and standards.
Preference for virtual sessions versus in person sessions are completely up to the individual(s).
Please advise the provider of your telehealth preference when booking an appointment. Additionally, please be advised that some insurances may not cover telehealth.
NO SURPRISES ACT
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. This is just an estimate and as your therapist gathers more information about your symptoms and severity, your Good Faith Estimate may be revised to reflect this new information. Any time your Good Faith Estimate is revised it will be updated and stored in your client portal. You have the right to request an updated Good Faith Estimate at any time in your treatment.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate. Your Good Faith Estimates will always be kept up to date and accessible to you upon request. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
We look forward to hearing from you.
